Our Senior men lost out in their County Final against Tourlestrane on Sunday last. The team held a four point half time lead, following a late first half goal from Martin Doherty, but the second half didn’t go as well with Tourlestrane pushing on to come out on top on a score line of 1-13 to 1-09. The scorers for Harps on the day were Shane O’Grady 6pts(6f), Martin Doherty 1 goal, Thomas Cryan, Michael Clarke & Ross Donovan 1pt each. Well done to manager Shane King, his backroom team of Paul Judge, Shane Gallagher, Paul Duignan & Des Horan and all the players for the effort put in on Sunday and throughout the year. There were nine players who started their first County Final on Sunday and hopefully this experience gained should bode well for the future. Congrats to Tourlestrane on their victory and best wishes to them for their Connacht campaign.

Our Minor Girls team had a great one point win in their County Final on Sunday last against Tourlestrane. In what was a very close game throughout the girls held onto their one point half time lead to end up victorious on a score line of 2-06 to 1-10. A big thank you to the coaches Patricia, Martina & Morgan, to the parents of the girls who pushed them on throughout the year and brought them to all the training sessions and matches and especially to the squad of girls themselves for the effort they have put in and the entertaining games they have provided throughout the year.

Our Minor Boys take on Curry in their long awaited A Final on Saturday. Full details of this fixture have not yet been confirmed but once they are known they will appear on our social media accounts and in the fixtures section of our website. It was 2004 when our minor’s last won the A Final so we are once again hoping to have a large support present to cheer on the lads.

This Friday night Bingo in association with Eastern Harps continues as usual in Gurteen Hall at 8.30pm. The jackpot has now reached €2,100 in 48 calls or less with the lotto jackpot 1 at €1,000 and jackpot 2 at €700. Thanks to all who help out on Friday nights and to those who support this bingo.
