On this coming Sunday, for the first time since 2010, our senior team will take part in the County Final in Markievicz Park at 4pm. Our opponents will be Tourlestrane whom we last faced in the Final in 2010. All involved with the team have put in a massive effort to get to the final and it is hoped that a big crowd from the area will attend to support the team. Supporters are also asked to make a big effort to be in Markievicz Park early to cheer the team on as they take to the pitch and for the pre-match parade. The Harps area has been well decked out with the green & white over the past fortnight but if anybody is still looking for some flags, beanie hats, car flags, bunting or headbands Kieran McGill & Jimmy Casey still have a supply left and can be contacted if you would wish to purchase.

At this weekend’s County Final Eastern Harps, along with other GAA clubs in Sligo, will receive an award as part of Sligo been named as European Volunteer Capital for 2017. This award is in recognition of the countless number of volunteers that give of their time and effort to help run the club throughout the year.

Our minor girls County Final is also scheduled to take place this coming weekend but the time and venue is not yet fixed, information will be on our social media accounts as soon as we know.

For the third year in a row our Gaelic for Mothers & Others team took part in the National Blitz Day in Portmarnock on Saturday last. Under the astute management of Paul Dwyer the team had a very successful day winning all five games that they participated in.

This Friday night Bingo in association with Eastern Harps continues as usual in Gurteen Hall at 8.30pm. The jackpot has now reached €2,000 in 47 calls or less with the lotto jackpot 1 at €1,000 and jackpot 2 at €600
